Starting with a strong League Starter is only half the battle in Hero Siege Season 10. The bigger challenge is knowing when to stop investing in the leveling setup and transition into the build you actually want to play in the endgame.
For players choosing between Stormweaver and Marksman, both offer clear upgrade paths from the campaign to Hero Level progression. The key is to avoid making an expensive transition too early while also knowing when your starter build has reached its limit. At that point, upgrading your core Hero Siege Items can help bridge the gap between a leveling setup and a more specialized endgame build.
Stormweaver: Charge Bolt to Stormcloud
Stormweaver has one of the smoother progression paths in Season 10. During the early campaign, Charge Bolt is the recommended starting skill because its projectile coverage improves as you level and it provides reliable area damage without demanding expensive gear.
| Stage | Skill Focus | Main Goal |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1–39 | Charge Bolt | Fast campaign clearing |
| Around Level 40 | Stormcloud | Major build transition |
| Level 40–100 | Stormcloud + supporting skills | Prepare for endgame |
| Hero Levels | Lightning Surge / specialized trees | Maximize endgame efficiency |
During the early levels, prioritize Charge Bolt and its supporting nodes while keeping enough mobility to move through the campaign efficiently. At around Level 40, the character can transition toward Stormcloud, where the build begins to feel much closer to its endgame identity.
Once you reach Level 100 and unlock the Incarnation Tree, your priorities change again. Instead of simply adding more basic damage, look for nodes that improve skill scaling, spell haste, area coverage, and survivability. A current Season 10 Stormweaver endgame setup prioritizes All Skills, Magic Skills, Lightning Skills, Skill Haste, Faster Cast Rate, Lightning Damage, and Life.
Marksman: Frag Grenade to Gunner Drone
Marksman follows a similarly clear transformation, but the major breakpoint comes through Gunner Drone.
From Level 1, Frag Grenade provides the main area damage while Vault supplies mobility. Around Level 30, Gunner Drone becomes available, and Level 40 is the major transition point because the C.Y.C.L.O.P.S variant significantly changes how the build plays.
| Stage | Skill Focus | Gear Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1–29 | Frag Grenade + Vault | All Skills, Arcane Damage, Mobility |
| Level 30–39 | Gunner Drone setup | Prepare for Drone transition |
| Level 40–100 | Gunner Drone + C.Y.C.L.O.P.S | Arcane scaling, Intelligence, Resistances |
| Level 100+ | Drone-focused Incarnation Tree | Endgame scaling and survivability |
The important mistake to avoid is changing too early. Frag Grenade remains useful while you prepare the supporting skills for Gunner Drone. Once the Level 40 breakpoint arrives, shift your investment toward Gunner Drone and the skills that directly increase its damage.
The current Season 10 progression recommends Intelligence as the primary attribute while adding enough Vitality to maintain a comfortable health pool. Useful gear stats include All Skills, Arcane Skills, All Resistances, Movement Speed, Intelligence, Magic Damage, and Arcane Damage.
Midgame Gear: Upgrade the Bottleneck
You do not need your final equipment immediately.
During the midgame, prioritize upgrades that solve your current problem. If enemies die too slowly, improve your main damage scaling. If you are constantly dying, resistances and Life become more important. If your character survives but takes too long to finish maps, movement speed and skill uptime may provide a bigger improvement than another small damage upgrade.
For Stormweaver, look for equipment that supports Lightning and Magic scaling. For Marksman, Arcane-oriented equipment becomes increasingly valuable once Gunner Drone takes over as the primary damage source.
Trade players can accelerate this process with targeted purchases, while SSF players should focus on flexible upgrades that can remain useful for several levels.
The Level 100 Transition
Level 100 is not simply another leveling milestone. It is where your character begins to move into its real endgame progression.
The Incarnation Tree allows both builds to specialize far beyond their basic skill trees. Marksman, for example, can begin investing in Intelligence and Drone-related scaling before moving toward stronger Arcane damage and penetration options.
Stormweaver can similarly transition from its comfortable Stormcloud farming setup into more specialized farming or single-target configurations depending on the content being played.
What to Do When You Get Stuck
If your character suddenly feels weak, do not immediately replace the entire build.
First check your resistances and Life. Then make sure your main damage skill has enough skill levels and relevant elemental or Arcane scaling. After that, look at movement speed and cooldown or cast-speed improvements.
If your build clears normal enemies quickly but struggles against bosses, add single-target support rather than sacrificing all of your AoE. If maps are taking too long, prioritize clear speed instead of stacking more defensive stats than you actually need. The best Season 10 progression route is not about reaching the final build as quickly as possible. It is about making each transition when your character is ready.
Stormweaver can comfortably move from Charge Bolt into Stormcloud before developing into a specialized endgame setup. Marksman can use Frag Grenade to reach the Gunner Drone breakpoint and then build around drones as its primary source of damage.
Once your starter skills, midgame equipment, and Incarnation Tree begin working together, the character stops feeling like a temporary League Starter and starts becoming a genuine endgame farmer.
