FC 27 The Grounds Mode Guide

FC 27 The Grounds Mode Guide

The Grounds is one of the biggest new additions to FC 27, bringing Clubs into a shared social football world. Instead of moving between separate menus for every activity, you can explore different areas, meet other players, join small-sided games, and access larger Clubs experiences from the same world.

The Grounds is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The areas are open from the beginning, so you do not need to level up before exploring them.

What Can You Do in The Grounds?

The Grounds is built around a central Terrace and three different districts. Each area has its own activities and atmosphere.

You can:

  • Play Street Football in 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 formats
  • Join Kickabout activities with different rules
  • Enter Rush and 11v11 Drop-In matches
  • Visit the Clubhouse for Clubs activities
  • Explore stores and collect gameplay or cosmetic items
  • Complete Objectives and limited-time events
  • Meet other players and form squads

The map makes it easier to find activities without running around the entire world. You can also set destinations and use fast travel when available.

How Rewards Work

Playing in The Grounds helps develop your Pro. Matches and Objectives can provide AXP, Grounds Coins, consumables, and other rewards. Limited-time experiences such as Club Tournaments and Playoffs can provide additional rewards.

This makes regular participation worthwhile even when you are not focused on competitive Clubs matches.

If you also play Ultimate Team, remember that FC 27 Coins and Grounds Coins are separate currencies. Grounds Coins are earned through activities and Objectives in The Grounds rather than through Ultimate Team.

Understand Amps and Archetypes

Archetypes remain an important part of developing your Pro. The Grounds gives you opportunities to experiment with different builds, while Amps can temporarily change how your Pro performs.

Some useful tips are:

  • Try different Archetypes instead of sticking with your first choice.
  • Use Amps that complement your current role.
  • Complete Objectives that provide AXP and development rewards.
  • Experiment with your build before spending too much time specializing.

Resetting your build does not cost Grounds Coins, so you can test different setups without worrying about losing your currency.

The Best Way to Progress

If your main goal is to develop your Pro efficiently, avoid spending all your time doing only one activity.

A simple progression routine is:

  • Complete available Objectives first.
  • Play activities that give you AXP.
  • Take part in limited-time events when their rewards are useful.
  • Save Grounds Coins for items that actually fit your Archetype.
  • Try different activities to improve your overall gameplay.

The Grounds also includes Live Events that can temporarily change activities and introduce additional objectives and rewards.

Stores and Grounds Coins

World Stores can be found throughout The Grounds and offer items such as Amps, consumables, clothing, club items, emotes, and selected bundles. Store inventories can change over time.

Grounds Coins can be earned by playing matches and completing Objectives. Some items can also be obtained directly through gameplay rewards, while certain purchases use FC Points.

If you see Fut 27 Coins for sale while looking for ways to improve your Ultimate Team, remember that those resources are separate from The Grounds economy and cannot replace Grounds Coins.

The best way to approach The Grounds is to treat it as a place for both progression and experimentation. Explore every district, check the rules before joining an activity, and keep an eye on limited-time events.

More importantly, do not focus only on rewards. The Grounds is designed around developing your Pro while giving you more ways to play with friends, test different builds, and move naturally between Street Football and Clubs experiences.
